It’s no secret that this year was a big year in the world of tech. We have narrowed it all down to just several items, products and services that were released this year.
Here are those great Apple and tech moments from this year. Note that these are in no particular order:
- iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max (Apple): The fact that the iPhone got even bigger this year and got an additional third camera lens shows that Apple is still doing their best to make sure that they have the top iPhone on the market.
- Disney+ (Tech): This was probably the most anticipated streaming service of the year. It currently costs $6.99 a month and has a bundle that you can get with Hulu and ESPN+ that costs $12.99 a month. If you’ve been looking for something to stream either this year or in 2020, this will be the place for it.
- Apple TV+ (Apple): Apple released its own streaming service and even though I personally am not a fan of it, I know that many people are fond of it. One of the shows on it, The Morning Show, has even received multiple Golden Globe nominations too.
- 16-inch MacBook Pro (Apple): The newest version of the MacBook Pro now has a 16-inch screen. It still has the TouchBar but does have a dedicated escape button and a spot for Touch ID to unlock it and make purchases with Apple Pay.
- 2019 Mac Pro (Apple): It took Apple quite a while but it is Apple’s newest powerhouse of a Mac. Yes, it costs a fortune but is well worth the price for those who truly need it.
- Apple Card (Apple): Apple’s take of a credit card has been an amusing story to watch play out this year. What has made it different compared to most credit cards is that Apple wants users to get the most out of it from using their iPhone or Apple Watch. The Daily Cash from purchases made from the 1-3 cashback received on it and it goes onto your Apple Cash card is another great way for Apple to get its users to use Apple Cash more often. - Frndly TV (Tech): This might not be one that many would see on a list like this, but it is a service that changed the way people watched this year’s Hallmark Christmas movies this year. Starting at only $5.99 a month, it’s not a bad deal. Frndly TV just released an Apple TV app a couple of weeks ago, which now makes it so that it is available on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Mac and the Apple TV. - VidGo (Tech): While PlayStation Vue, one of the cheapest live TV streaming services on the market, is shutting down in January 2020, VidGo is currently offering their service for only $39.99 a month. - Foldable smartphones (Tech): For some reason, these were a thing in 2019. Although the concept is pretty cool and the engineering behind it is quite innovative, I don’t think it will be a long-lasting trend in tech. Think of it like bubblegum pop songs. Still, that 2019 Motorola Razr is a novel piece of tech.
