MacBook Air and MacBook Pro

The MacBook Air and MacBook Pro are currently the only two MacBooks on the market right now through Apple. Apple previously had a 12-inch MacBook that was discontinued last summer, which was more so an entry-level MacBook.

With that Mac out of the way, it has made the market for the MacBook pretty interesting, simple and hard, all at the same time.

With the MacBook Air, it is more so designed for those who just want to have an entry-level MacBook. With that said though, even though you can consider it as an entry-level MacBook, you can still do a little more than typical entry-level work.

This includes video editing, even in Final Cut Pro, and Adobe Photoshop work too. Needless, to say, it is more powerful than what some may think.

So how do you know if it’s the right laptop for you?

Well, if you are the kind of person that does not do much on the internet or just needs a little more power, but not enough to justify the purchase of a MacBook Pro. An added plus about the MacBook Air is that it is available in gold, which cannot be said for the MacBook Pro.

Apple’s MacBook Air starts at $1,099 through Apple.

How do you know if the MacBook Pro is the one for you?

For starters, this is going to be one of those laptops where it’s going to be able to do what you need to and then some. The power of these things is incredible. Even me, someone who is primarily just a writer online and does the occasional file in Pixelmator, gets their full money’s worth from this laptop, despite the fact that I probably don’t need it.

Getting more so to your needs, whether that is for extensive video editing, rendering videos, editing photos in Photoshop or Pixelmator, editing audio, creating video graphics, etc, this is going to be the best MacBook to do that.

The MacBook Air is only available in its 13-inch screen size, but the MacBook Pro is available in the 13-inch and 16-inch screen sizes. Both of them have the TouchBar, with the 16-inch version having a newer version of the TouchBar that separates the TouchBar with Touch ID and created a physical ESC button.

Apple’s MacBook Pro is available starting at $1,299 for the 13-inch version and the 16-inch version starts at $2,399.
