The coronavirus has been a new epidemic that has been coming through the United States recently, but the disease’s origin is China.
Apple CEO Tim Cook said in a tweet that Apple will be donating to the relief efforts in China for those that have been impacted by the coronavirus.
As people in China and around the world celebrate the Lunar New Year, we send our love and support to the many impacted by the Coronavirus. Apple will be donating to groups on the ground helping support all of those affected.

The coronavirus is described by MacRumors as the following:
A coronavirus is a family of viruses that include the common cold, but this particular virus has never been detected before. Medical doctors have subsequently named it 2019-nCov, for “novel coronavirus.”
The virus has been picked up in the United States, currently impacting the lives of 63 people in the country between 22 states. Those 63 people are currently being checked and monitored to see if they have the disease.
In addition to that, the disease has already taken the lives of 42 people and has infected over 1,400 other people, according to BBC News.
China is the origin of this virus, specifically in Wuhan. A woman was said to have come home from Wuhan to Chicago, where she was hospitalized because she had caught the illness. She is currently being isolated in a Chicago hospital and is in a stable condition.
Apple is known to donate to causes like this such as the recent fires in Australia this year and the Notre Dame de Paris cathedral church that received significant damage after a fire that broke out within it in 2019.
