We do not normally cover sports here, but since this does have to do with a streaming service and that the college football season is just a little over a month away, we thought it would be best to let you know about this new channel in the ESPN+ streaming service.
The channel is going to be called Big 12 Now and will be hosted on the ESPN+ app, which can be found and downloaded in the official ESPN app in the App Store. Big 12 Now will host over 800 Big 12 Conference events each year.
This service could help those who do not receive the Texas Longhorn Network (also operated by ESPN), FOX Sports Southwest or Cyclones.TV from Iowa State University. It could make it so that along with programming being on those networks, it could also be streamed at no additional cost to ESPN+ subscribers and Big 12 sports fans.
Colleges such as Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State and Baylor will be on the service for the upcoming 2019 season, with Iowa State, TCU, Texas Tech and West Virginia joining for the 2020 season, according to the Kansas City Star.
ESPN+ costs only $4.99 a month and can be subscribed through either ESPN’s website or directly through iTunes as well. The ESPN app is available on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Apple TV. It can be streamed from a Mac too via ESPN’s website.
