Shortly after Apple launched iOS developer beta 7 today, sleuths found some interesting tidbits potentially pertaining to the iPhone 11. Specifically, Brazillian site iHelp BR noticed the beta contains an image of the home screen with a calendar date set to Tuesday the 10th ”“ presumably in September.
Adding to the conspiracy, the file name is “HoldForRelease.” Whoops. There’s also another set of images with the date of Sept. 23, which the site speculates is the launch date of iOS 13.
Of course, this date was likely anyway. The current incarnation of Apple almost always holds its iPhone event around the same time each September.
Apple is expected to reveal three new iPhones at the event, along with a new Apple Watch. There have also been rumors from the supply chain about an impending 16-inch redesign of the MacBook Pro, though the sourcing on those rumors is not strong enough to report what’s coming with any certainty.
If that date holds, that means we are just over three weeks away from seeing what Apple has in store for the iPhone line.
