This is going to be one week in the United States that is bound to make history in some way, shape or form.
Today is the day of the general election where current U.S. President Republican Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence are looking to be reelected by the country, but are facing Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and his vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
We do not publicly hold a preferred candidate or party. However, we will in the meantime show you how you can stream coverage of the election for completely free without having to deal with those premium cable, satellite and live TV streaming service packages.
Here are the methods you can use to stream 2020 Election coverage:
- Pluto TV: If you are looking to get the most coverage possible from both sides of the political spectrum, Pluto TV has channels such as CBSN, NBC News Now, The Blaze, Bloomberg TV and The Young Turks that will all be providing coverage throughout the day and into the night. Pluto TV can be streamed on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Apple TV and even has an app in the Mac App Store for the Mac as well.
- KlowdTV: Not many people know about this service, but if you are looking to stream One American News (OAN), you can do so through KlowdTV and you don’t have to pay a dime for it. Simply create your account, choose the free plan and start watching it. We have a review of the service too.
- CBS News app: Through this app, you can stream live election coverage right from CBS News/CBSN, which will be the same broadcast people will see live on their televisions.
- Locast: This live TV streaming service is free and works if you are in select TV markets throughout the country. With that said, Locast will be the place for you to watch live coverage from networks such as ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and PBS, and local TV stations as well.
- Peacock: The new streaming service does have select channels like NBC News Now that will be airing special coverage of the election through that channel on the service. It is also available on Pluto TV.
- PBS app: Since PBS now allows users to stream their local PBS station for free through its website and apps, PBS will be airing a special live editiion of PBS NewsHour to cover election results starting at 6 p.m. ET tonight.
Did we miss any other important and free ways to stream tonight’s election coverage? Let us know if we did and what your plans are for streaming this year’s election coverage on Twitter at @appleosophy.
