We’re three months into 2021. Although we haven’t had any new product launches from this year, last month has seen two discontinuations of the iMac Pro and the original HomePod. The wait might be over soon. According to Jon Prosser, he said that “Apple Stores” are preparing for some sort of product release toward the end of next week.”
We can safely assume that product will be the iPad Pro. Recent sources reported that the iPad Pro is still on track for release for the second half of April. Initial supply constraints will occur for the larger 12.9-inch iPad Pro since that model will likely have a mini-LED display. We can expect the upcoming iPad Pro models to feature 5G, Apple A14X chip, and Thunderbolt connectivity. It’s possible that Apple will announce the iPad Pro this week, followed by an official release next week. When Apple announced the updated iPad Pros on March 2020, Apple released them to stores next week.
We can expect other products to launch alongside the iPad Pro. First, the update to the iPad mini will be incremental with the same design as before. It’s not clear on what other features the iPad mini will have, but it will most likely have an A14 chip. Second, we can expect new colors for iPhone cases and Apple Watch bands. A photo below has leaked those new colors for Spring 2021. As with every spring and fall, we always see new seasonal colors that bring a different style to those cases/bands. Third, we might see the long-awaited and biggest redesign for the iMac line. The iMac will sport Apple Silicon, larger displays, and possibly different colors.
