While we are all expecting redesigned MacBook Pros by the end of this year, leaker L0vetodream suggests that Apple won’t introduce any hardware products today. This might come as a surprise for some people, but Apple has already told everyone that Mac shipments could see a dramatic hit starting Q3 2021 because of the chip shortage. Still, it’s still feasible that we could see those models mentioned as soon as this fall.
L0vetodream also teases to a “new UI”, which could possibly reference under-the-hood changes to iOS/iPadOS/watchOS. These changes include, but not limited to, Lock Screen and Notification Center. With the M1 chip found on the latest iPad Pro, recent reviews applauded its powerful hardware, but they criticized of the limitations of the software. With the upcoming announcement of iPadOS 15, we could finally see what Apple brings to the table to take further advantage of the M1 chip.
Last, but not least, L0vetodream also teased about new improvements in HomeKit with Thread and Gigabit Ethernet as part of those important technologies for those improvements.
