When Apple introduced watchOS 8 at WWDC 2021, it didn’t showcase many watch faces. However, one of the WWDC sessions has disclosed an unannounced watch face dubbed “World Timer”.

Apple is known for creating watch faces that are inspired by traditional watch models: like their “California”, “GMT”, “Chronograph”, and “Count Up” faces. In contrast to the GMT watch face, which only shows two time zones at once, this “World Timer” watch face depicts a world map featuring time zones of dozens of cities around the globe.
Last year, Apple debuted only two new watch faces for watchOS 7 at WWDC 2020, although it later rolled out several more with the announcement of the Apple Watch Series 6 and SE. If Apple continues with this strategy, we could see even more watch faces when Apple rolls out its next-generation Apple Watch Series 7 and the public release of watchOS 8 in the coming fall.
