AirTags Leather Key Ring

Today, Apple has released another firmware update for its own item trackers, AirTag. The last firmware update occurred in June, which added anti-stalking enhancements (1A287b). While Apple releases firmware updates across all of its accessories such as the AirPods, there’s usually no word on what enhancements they’ll bring.

To update your AirTag to v1.0.291 (1A291a), make sure you place your AirTag in range of your iPhone, so that the update will be done over-the-air. If you want to see if the update did go through, use the Find My app to find the firmware version.

Do you own an AirTag, and do you find it useful? Let us know in the comments below. Follow us on Twitter or Instagram. Also – make sure to subscribe to our new video podcast on YouTube!
