Apple has slightly updated the AirPods Pro to include charging with MagSafe. According to @FronTron, it looks like that we could be seeing the next generation of AirPods Pro as soon as next fall. Despite this user’s very limited track record when it comes to accurate leaks, other sources have reported something similar such as that from Ming Chi Kuo.

According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, one possible design change that Apple would make is to eliminate the stems similar to the Beats Fit Pro. However, this decision would pose huge challenges, especially when Apple would need to fit all of the necessary hardware into a smaller package. Secondly, the stems are essential to the user experience as they feature force sensors for playback/noise control.

Other features we could possibly see are updated motion sensors designed for fitness tracking, skin-detect sensors that are also found in the AirPods 3, as well as the improved water resistance for the MagSafe Charging Case. Regardless, unless Apple has found a way to replace the force sensors on the stems, the potential redesign should be taken with a grain of salt.

Do you think there’s a better replacement for the force sensors on the stems? Do you find the stems necessary? Let us know in the comments below. Follow us on Twitter or Instagram for move coverage on Apple News and even great deals on other Apple products.
