Apple’s next Worldwide Developers Conference is in less than a month. We are slowly gaining new details on the company’s next significant wave of software the company’s main products. According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, iOS 16, there will be new ways of system interactions and new fresh Apple apps.

In his latest edition of the “Power On” newsletter on Sunday, Gurman mentioned that iOS 16 is unlikely to bring any major changes to the user interface. However, major system changes and new ways of interacting are in the works:

“While I don’t expect Apple to present a full redesign of the software, there should be major changes across the system, new ways of interacting and some fresh Apple apps. The news about watchOS 9 will be significant as well.”

Gurman also mentions that there will be new “fresh Apple apps”, meaning that Apple could be developing new stock apps for the system to look forward to. The source notes that the significance of the features on iOS 16 can be applied to watchOS 9 too.

Last month, Gurman stated that the next version of iOS will bring significant upgrades to notifications and new health-tracking features. The new update for the former involves a major update to Focus Mode, the rebranded “Do Not Disturb” mode which was refreshed with iOS 15.

Apple officially announced as well as sent out invites for this summer’s Worldwide Developers Conference – WWDC – where the company will announce the next versions of its software lineup: iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS 13, watchOS 9, and tvOS 16 on the opening day of Monday, June 6.
