Last year, the Apple TV second and third generations lost a considerable number of apps such as MLB.TV, FOX NOW, and YouTube, but now one more notable one is missing.

The Hulu app is now no longer available on the Apple TV second and third generation.

This is confirmed by Hulu’s Help Center page, which does show that the only two Apple TV devices that have a Hulu app are the tvOS-based models, the Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K.

Hulu has not put out an official statement on why the app is no longer on the second and third generation Apple TVs anymore, but it is likely due to how they are two discontinued and outdated models of the Apple streaming device.

The Apple TV second and third generation, for now, still have access to the Netflix and Prime Video apps, as well as others like Crackle and Showtime.

What are your thoughts on the end of the Hulu app on the two older versions of the Apple TV? Comment below or let us know on Twitter at @appleosophy.
