Yesterday, Apple held a press meeting at Apple Music headquarters in NYC, where tech bloggers had the opportunity to preview the upcoming second-generation HomePod. They stated that the second generation features a removable power cord. Mexican tech blogger TechSantos confirmed this new feature in his YouTube video; he attended the press meeting. This feature had been long-awaited by HomePod users, making the HomePod more versatile and easy to move and repair.
In contrast, the first-generation HomePod was not intended to be removable, and while it was possible to do so, it was not recommended by Apple. Now, it is totally fine to remove the power cord, offering great convenience to the user.
Finally, the HomePod has a removable cord, what do you think about this second-generation HomePod? Let us know in the comments! Be sure to download the Appleosophy App from the App Store or visit our website to stay updated with the latest Apple news!
