Going along with the release of iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS 17.2 today brought a redesigned Apple TV app to the iPhone, iPad, Apple TV HD, and Apple TV 4K.
What the Apple TV app does specifically is give users easy access to their recently-streamed content on their Apple devices, as well as provides a place to watch their purchased and rented content from the app.
The Apple TV app does give users access to other features like Apple TV Channels that enables them to subscribe to a select number of streaming services such as Paramount+, Hallmark Movies Now, Starz, and others.
In this new update, Apple has made it even easier to use the Apple TV app for better navigation.
One of the major new parts of the Apple TV app redesign is a sidebar that has functions like Search for searching for movies and TV shows to find, rent, or purchase in the app. There is a Home button that will take users directly to the Home section of the app, along with easier access to Apple TV+ and MLS Season Pass, and quicker access to the channels you have subscribed to in Apple TV Channels.
The new update provides users with the simplicity of changing Profiles for a more “personalized experience.”
