Preorders for the Vision Pro have started, and currently, there aren’t any engraving options for the spatial computer itself. However, you can opt for free engraving on the optional ZEISS lens inserts. You may be asking, “Why would you want to do that? What’s the point of personalizing them?”
Turns out there’s the perfect scenario for this. Say that you want to order a Vision Pro, and you have a few members in your family who want to play with the device. Chances also there are a few people who need either reading or prescription lenses. So with custom engraving on each lens will help family members identify which lens belongs to, so they’ll always pick up the right ones, rather than mixing them up with others.
Apple offers two options of the ZEISS Optical Inserts that attach to the Vision Pro lens magnetically:
- the “Readers” version for $99
- the “Perscription” version for $149.
As a friendly reminder, you’ll need to have a valid prescription from an optician to purchase that lens.
Vision Pro, powered by the M2 and R1 chips, starts at $3,499 with 256GB of storage and 16GB of unified memory. Vision Pro is also available with 512GB of storage ($3,699) and 1TB of storage ($3,899). You’ll need a device with Face ID to order one so that it can determine the right sizing for the headband.
