Appleosophy | MAX reported to get stricter with password-sharing this year

Streaming movies and TV shows has become the new normal since it does give us the ability to stream our content when it is most convenient for us.

It has now been reported by Bloomberg that along with Netflix and Disney+, MAX is said to be cracking down on password-sharing.

Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD), the media company behind MAX, which is merger between HBO Max and Discovery+, is planning on implementing safeguards for itself to prevent continued password-sharing on the streaming service. This is expected to be added to MAX sometime later this year, with a full-scale system set to be ready by 2025.

The reason behind this is to make the streaming business more profitable for the company.

MAX currently starts at $9.99 a month which can be subscribed to through in-app purchases in the App Store. It is available to stream on the iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and Mac.
