Just last week, Apple started selling refurbished models of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 in the United States. Now, a few days ago, Apple also began selling refurbished models of the Apple Watch Series 9.
As with other refurbished Apple products, all aluminum and stainless steel models of the Series 9 in both case sizes are around 15% off when compared to buying them new at their MSRPs. Aluminum refurbished models start at $339, and stainless steel models start at $599. All refurbished models of the Series 9 are thoroughly refurbished to provide the same quality you’d expect from any Apple product. They’re covered by both Apple’s one-year limited warranty and 14-day return policy. All models are also repackaged in a white box with documentation, watch band, and charging cable included.
It’s important to note that supplies fluctuate from time to time, so if you want to buy a Series 9 at a great price, it may be a good time to buy a Certified Refurbished model now rather than later.
As previously mentioned, Apple has been facing an ongoing lawsuit with Masimo over the Blood Oxygen feature. Consequently, Apple pulled initial refurbished models of the Series 9 and disabled the Blood Oxygen feature in newer shipments of the model. So all refurbished models that Apple is now selling will have the Blood Oxygen app disabled. This change applies to only the U.S.
For the future of the Apple Watch, we may see the next-generation Apple Watch “Series X” with an all-new design and possibly the reinstatement of the Blood Oxygen feature.
