As Apple’s upcoming event is getting closer, many followers have been wondering how long that event will last. Now, it looks like we have our answer as in his weekly Powered On newsletter, Mark Gurman expects Apple’s May event to last around 35 minutes. In the past, Apple Events usually lasted around one and a half to two hours; however, the last Apple Event was held back in October 2023, which lasted just 30 minutes. Back then, Apple announced the M3 series of chips along with upgraded MacBook Pros and iMacs.
Given that Apple’s upcoming event will last just as long as the previous event, this gives further indications that Apple will solely focus on announcing the upgraded iPad models and accessories. Apple is also expected to announce the M4 chip and briefly promote its AI capabilities in its hardware-focused event; however, Apple will save its upcoming AI software-related features in next month’s WWDC event.
Apple’s “Let loose” event will go live on May 7 at 7 am PT, so it will be a bit earlier for people on the East Coast and especially even earlier in European and Asian countries. You can watch the live stream on Apple’s website or its YouTube channel.
