Apple expands its Apple Immersive Video content for Vision Pro starting this week

When Apple introduced the Vision Pro for the first time last summer, one of the biggest highlighted features was the debut of a new video format specially designed for Vision Pro. Apple Immersive Video offers 180-degree high-resolution videos that support Spatial Audio, giving you a more incredible viewing experience when watching movies and allowing you to feel more immersed in the action.

With the recent launch of the Vision Pro in more additional countries such as Japan, Singapore, and the U.K., Apple has announced in its Newsroom that it’s expanding its Apple Immersive Video content starting this week. This means that there will be even more series, films, and concerts that will provide this incredible viewing experience on Vision Pro.

These are the new Apple Immersive Video content that Apple is releasing over the next few months:

  • Boundless (series), which premiered July 18
  • Wild Life (series), which premieres in August
  • Elevated (series), which premieres in September
  • Submerged (short film), which premieres later this year
  • 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend (immersive view), which premieres later this year
  • The Weeknd (concert), which premieres later this year
  • Red Bull: Big Wave Surfing (series), which premieres later this year 

Additionally, Apple is collaborating with Blackmagic Design to introduce new tools for professional videographers, sothey can film Apple Immersive Video content. These tools include:

  • URSA Cine Immersive, which is an all-new Blackmagic camera, and
  • updated versions of DaVinci Resolve Studio and Apple Compressor
