A few days back, Sonny Dickson posted an image of the iPhone 16 Pro dummy models in all of the finishes that Apple will likely offer, including a bronze-like color. Previous reports speculated that this new finish, set to replace Blue Titanium, could be a gold variant that Apple may bring back to the Pro line. Now, a leaker known as “Majin Bu” suggested this new finish may be called “Desert Titanium.”

He also posted an image of the camera rings for all the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro’s finishes. He describes the upcoming finish as a “deeper and bolder” shade of gold, similar to the Deep Purple finish on the older iPhone 14 Pro. I quite like that name as it’s quite fitting since it won’t be as bright as typical gold finishes as Apple’s previous iPhone Pro models, and Apple has sometimes used the desert/sand color-way for older iPhone cases and Watch bands.

Additionally, reports suggest that Apple could change the finishing process to allow the titanium frames for the iPhone 16 Pro to have a more polished appearance similar to the stainless steel on older Pro models albeit more scratch-resistant.

We’re about a month until Apple’s anticipated announcement of the iPhone 16 lineup to find out all the details.
