What better time to announce a new accessory for iPad than during WWDC week. A few days ago, Logitech announce its newest accessory for iPad Air/Pro that you may want to check it out. The Flip Folio is a protective case for your iPad that features not only front/back protection, but it also provides a full-size Bluetooth keyboard for typing on the go. Whenever you’re not using the keyboard, it can stow it away by magnetically attach to the back of the case for easy and convenient storage.
With the Flip Folio, you can prop up your iPad at various different angles thanks to the built-in kickstand, and unlike Apple’s Magic Keyboard offering, you can orient the iPad in either landscape or portrait. Even more versatile, the Bluetooth keyboard can pair up to three devices with easy switching – this can include your iPhone, Android, PC, or Mac. If you both a Mac desktop (such as a Mac mini) and an iPad Air/Pro, you could have a cleaner setup with a keyboard that works both the iPad and Mac mini.
One downside is that this accessory doesn’t have a trackpad of some sort unlike Logitech’s other iPad keyboard offerings such as the Combo Touch, but you could get a separate Bluetooth mouse or trackpad for a more complete setup, especially if you want to replace a laptop with an iPad. This Flip Folio from Logitech seems to be the answer to Apple’s discontinued Smart Keyboard Folio for iPad Air/Pro. Some advantages that the Smart Keyboard Folio had over the Magic Keyboard were that it featured front/back protection and a built-in keyboard that can easily fold back when you weren’t using it. Additionally, it would not add too much weight to the iPad while still allowing “iPad to remain mostly an iPad.” Some iPad enthusiasts still miss the older Smart Keyboard Folio, even @BasicAppleGuy on X wrote a piece about the accessory’s demise.
The Flip Folio is available to order at Logitech priced at $159.99 for 11-inch iPad Air/Pro models and $179.99 for 13-inch iPad Air/Pro models. Flip Folio also comes in these fun colors that are subject to availability/region:

This Flip Folio when paired with either a Bluetooth mouse or trackpad will be great accessories for your iPad, especially to take advantage of many of the latest features coming to iPadOS 26 such as the new Windowed Apps mode and improved Files app.
