Apple today announced the iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, AirPods Pro 3, Apple Watch Series 11, SE 3, and Ultra 3 at its “Awe Dropping event”, which lasted for a total of 1 Hour and 10 minutes. This year, Apple has brought some of the most requested features to the base iPhone 17, and introduced an even better Pro iPhone, along with the thin iPhone Air.
As we all know, Apple does not mention the amount of RAM for iPhone models, and the same goes for the iPhone 17 series. However, according to MacRumors, which has obtained information on the amount of RAM featured in the new 2025 lineup from Xcode 26, the base iPhone 17 still comes with 8GB of RAM, while the iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max come with 12GB of RAM, which is a 50% increase from the previous generation. For comparison, the entire iPhone 16 lineup featured 8GB of RAM for Apple Intelligence.
The increase in RAM will not only improve multitasking and user experience but also aid in running current and future Apple Intelligence models in a better way.
