Apple has started rolling out macOS Sequoia 15.7 to the public with new features, bug fixes, and important security updates for supported Macs. This update comes more than three weeks after the release of macOS Sequoia 15.6.1, which debuted with an important security improvement. Apple keeps refining the software experience with every 15.x. update whilst also fixing issues.
According to Apple, “This update introduces 8 new emojis, the ability to create Memory movies in Photos with Apple Intelligence, a new Sketch Style option in Image Playground, Mail Categorisation, and enhancements to better organise and filter your library in Photos. This release also includes other features, bug fixes and security updates for your Mac.”
Upcoming updates to macOS 15 Sequoia are now expected to only include refinements and security patches as the company has already released macOS Tahoe 26 today. macOS 15.7 includes fixes to 34 security issues with Spotlight, Shortcuts, StorageKit, TouchBar, and more.
macOS Sequoia 15.7 is available for:
- MacBook Air (2020 and later)
- MacBook Pro (2018 and later)
- iMac (2019 and later)
- iMac Pro (2017)
- Mac mini (2018 and later)
- Mac Studio (2022 and later)
- Mac Pro (2019 and later)
If you have already installed macOS Tahoe 26 on your device, you will not see this update. If you choose to stay on macOS Sequoia 15 and not upgrade to version 26, you will still be able to install timely security updates like these.
Additionally, along with macOS 15.7, Apple also rolled out macOS Sonoma 14.8 with 38 security patches.
