Apple has started rolling out the second Release Candidate version of iOS 26.2 to developers and public beta testers. This update comes just one week after the release of the iOS 26.2 RC 1, indicating that the RC 1 was not ready for public launch.
This is not something new; Apple does release two RC versions from time to time, similar to last year with iOS 18.2.
With iOS 26.2, users will be able to adjust the intensity of ‘Liquid Glass’ for the clock on the iPhone Lock Screen. The new update also features a change to the Measure App on the iPhone to feature more elements of Liquid Glass, which was introduced this year. Here’s how it looks:

Another notable change in this update is a new animation for buttons like “Edit” with a drop-bounce effect.

Users are still waiting for the Liquid Glass slider to be implemented system-wide, and these could be the stepping stones. Ever since Apple rolled out the new Liquid Glass design to the public in September and beta testers in June, there have been varying opinions about the design itself and text readability, and such an option would satisfy most users.
We can expect the final version of iOS 26.2 to be released to the public next week. Users who are registered as a developer on www.developer.apple.com can opt in to receive beta/RC updates by going into Settings>General>Software Update>Beta Updates and selecting Developer Beta. Do note that these versions are not stable and are meant for testing purposes.
