As we’re entering a brand new year, Apple has announced that its Fitness+ service is bringing even more programs for you to stay motivated and active as part of your resolutions. As you may know, it can be hard for people to keep up with their resolutions and goals, and they could end up quitting those by the second Friday in January. There’s even a name for it: Quitter’s Day. However, according to new data that was collected in the Apple Heart and Movement Study, participants who wear an Apple Watch are more likely to keep up with closing their rings through Quitter’s Day and beyond.
And you can get started too, as Apple is offering the annual limited-edition “Ring in the New Year” award, and to earn it, you’ll need to close all three Activity rings (Move/Exercise/Stand) for seven consecutive days this month. If you use Strava, you can also participate in the “Quit Quitting” challenge to earn a special badge in the Strava app.
Fitness+ also brings three new programs to help you get back in your fitness routine:
- Make Your Fitness Comeback
- Build a Yoga Habit
- Back-to-Back Strength and HIIT
The best way to work out is listening to your favorite artists, so Fitness+ Artist Spotlight returns once again with new workouts featuring KAROL G, and there will be more to come in anticipation of the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show.
To set up Apple Fitness+, you’ll just need an iPhone with iOS 16.1 or later, but having an Apple Watch is highly recommended to track your metrics, and when you have an iPad or even an Apple TV, you can enjoy your workouts on the bigger screens. Apple Fitness+ is available for $9.99/month or $79.99 annually, and it’s also included in the Apple One Premier plan.
