According to Apple, “This update introduces 8 new emoji, along with other features, bug fixes, and security updates for your Mac. For information on the security content of Apple software updates, please visit: support.apple.com/100100.

Along with new Emojis, this version of macOS also brings Charging Limits to the Mac, a feature that has been limited to the iPhone 15, iPhone 16, and iPhone 17 series. Similar to the iPhone, users can set their charging limit to 80%, 85%, 90%, 95%, or 100%. MacBook users who have their device connected to the charger most of the time and are looking to maximize their Battery Health can select the 80% Charging Limit for the best benefit.

macOS Tahoe 26.4 will also include the ‘Compact Tab Bar’ option in Safari Settings, which was previously removed.

It is highly recommended to update your Mac to the latest software once the new version is released for the best experience. Let us know down in the comments or tweet to us on @appleosophy!
