Lately, it seems as though every store seems to be getting rid of Apple Pay from its website. We have seen this just this week alone with JCPenney and Kohl’s pulling support for Apple Pay on its websites.
However, For Your Entertainment (FYE) appears to be accepting Apple Pay on its website, which was not something the company had on its website this time last year.
Over the last couple of years, FYE has been accepting Apple Pay in its stores, but its website did not accept it. Well, not until now.
This was tested this morning, as I made a purchase from the website through my now-discontinued iPhone 8 Plus. I ended up purchasing a can of Mountain Dew Violet, which is an exclusive Japanese version of Mountain Dew that FYE carries on its website and stores.
The purchase went through when tapping the Apple Pay icon, where I made the purchase with my Apple Card. It did go through the way it should and now I have a cool Mountain Dew to look forward to getting in the mail.
Apple Pay does work on both the desktop and mobile versions of the FYE website, so if you want to make the purchase from an iPhone or a MacBook, you can do so.
Sadly, FYE does not have an iOS app of any kind, but it’s good to see that they are at least on-board with its customers and accepting Apple Pay in both its stores and website in 2020.
