Apple had announced a refresh to their iPhone SE on Wednesday, April 15th. The iPhone SE (2nd Generation) packs in the powerful A13 Bionic chip with huge improvements to camera performance. Read our full in-depth article about the iPhone SE (2nd Generation) here.

We have been getting rumors about a larger iPhone SE in the recent times. Earlier, Ming Chi Quo reported that the iPhone SE Plus would be launched in the first half of next year. Ming Chi Quo now believes that it may be launched in the Second-Half of 2021.

MacRumors has obtained an extract from Ming Chi Quo’s research note with TF International Securities, which says,

“Apple will create more differentiation between the highest-end and high- end models. It will benefit the shipment of the highest-end model and iPhone ASP. Among new 2H21 iPhone models, we expect that the highest-end model would cancel the [Lightning] port and provide the completely wireless experience. ”

According to reports by Ming Chi Quo earlier, the iPhone SE Plus will have either a 5.5 inch or a 6.1 inch Full screen display with a small notch without Face ID. He says that Touch ID will be integrated into the power button.

According to Quo,

“Apple will launch the iPhone SE2 Plus in 1H21. We predict that the display size will be 5.5 or 6.1-inch. This model will adopt a full-screen design. The notch area will be smaller because of no Face ID support. The Touch ID will be integrated with the power button, which is located on the side. ”

The iPhone SE Plus is rumored to have the same chip as the iPhone SE (2nd Generation) and the iPhone 11 series, which is the A13 Bionic chip.

Touch ID will play an important role in Apple’s upcoming devices. Along with the iPhone SE Plus, Apple is also planning on implementing Touch ID on the Apple Watch in either the digital crown or on the display itself.
