Broadcom’s CEO Hock Tan, shared with Bloomberg that it expects Apple’s iPhone 12 lineup will see a delay from the usual September release to a Q4 release. Hock Tan shared company expectations for the iPhone 12 during an earning conference:

Hock Tan, chief executive officer of Broadcom, discussed a “major product cycle delay” at a “large North American mobile phone” customer, during an earnings conference call with analysts on Thursday.

The launch delay for this year’s iPhone lineup will have a significant impact on Broadcom’s Q3 revenue.

“This year, we do not expect to see this uptick in revenue until our fourth fiscal quarter,” the CEO added. “So accordingly, we expect, our wireless revenue in Q3 will be down sequentially.”

From what we now know, we may see Apple unveil the iPhone 12 lineup in September, with availability a month later or a staggered release similar to the iPhone XR and iPhone X.
