L0vetodream, a leaker, tweeted today about the recent rumors of Apple’s iPhone 12 lineup not including EarPods or a charging adapter in the box, adding this removal will eventually apply to the current generation iPhone SE.
L0vetodream on twitter claims future iPhone packaging will be ‘thinner’ and ‘exquisite’. It would make sense if this rumor is true, the packaging will be reduced as the room required for the adapter and EarPods will no longer be necessary.
The lack of a charging adapter and EarPods was recently rumored by well known and reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Apple is expected to release a new 20W USB-C, PD capable adapter as an optional accessory for iPhones, which could see the end of the existing included 5W adapter.

The 20W USB-C power adapter is expected to feature the same casing used in the current 18W power adapter included with the iPhone 11 Pro, with Power Delivery capabilities for faster charging.
