Apple October Event Announced & What to Expect?

Apple has finally announced its Special October Event to be held on October 13th at 10 a.m. PDT, streaming directly from the Apple Park. This anticipated event is expected to bring a range of new Products to the Apple lineup and will be one of the biggest events of this year. The tagline of this event is “Hi, Speed” while the announcement image reveals some details of the expected products rumored to be announced in this event. “Hi, Speed” may signify 5G, the A14 Bionic Chip & A14X Bionic Chip, LiDAR Sensor, or a new Mac with Apple Silicon! There’s a lot of things we could see at this event. The announcement image also reveals AirTags, a rumored Blue Color, while the Orange color remains a mystery.

What to Expect?

1. iPhone 12 series: Apple is expected to announce brand new iPhones at this highly awaited event. The iPhone 12 lineup with a squared-off design might have 4 different models, 2 non-Pro models with a 5.4-inch and a 6.1-inch Display, and 2 Pro Models with a 6.1-inch and an even larger 6.7-inch Display, all of them featuring the powerful A14 Bionic chip. The naming of these iPhones have been rumored to be either “iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max” or “iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Max, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max” and are expected to ship with iOS 14.1 out of the box. These iPhones are expected to have 5G, and the Pro Models are rumored to have 5G with mmWave Technology. The iPhone 12 Pro & iPhone 12 Pro Max are also rumored to have 6GB of RAM, a LiDAR Sensor, which will be a huge advantage to Augmented Reality, taking it to the next level. A new Navy Blue color has been rumored for a long time, which now has been indicated on the announcement image.
2. iPad Pro: Apple is expected to bring the new A14X Chip to the new iPad Pro lineup along with 5G with mmWave on Cellular models along with a new Blue Color. This iPad may also come with Mini-LED Display Technology.
3. AirTags: The highly anticipated Product, AirTags, is also expected to be announced at this event. AirTags are small tracking devices, which can be tagged with any of your items like keys, adding a tracking ability to the item. Users can track their item on the Find My App across their Apple Devices. Earlier in April, Apple had leaked the existence of AirTags in one of their Support Videos for “How to erase your iPhone” on their Apple Support YouTube channel, first discovered by Appleosophy Editor Pururaj Dutta. Read more about it here. The announcement image for this event reveals AirTags and the various circles surrounding it are actually the beams emitted by the AirTags. AirTags will emit beams, which will reach other Apple devices connected to the internet, and the exact location will be encrypted and sent to your iCloud account for you to see its exact location on Find My across your devices. The same technology is being used by iPhone running iOS 13 or later, enabling users to track their devices even if they are not connected to the internet. 4. AirPower: AirPower was announced in 2017 with the iPhone X but was sadly canceled due to its heating issues and according to Apple, it did not meet Apple Standards. Apple is rumored to be working on AirPower and AirPower Mini, which may make it to this event.

5. Apple TV: Apple may announce a new 6th Generation Apple TV 4K with the A12 Bionic Chip running the latest version of tvOS, tvOS 14.

6. HomePod: A new generation of HomePod and a HomePod Mini may drop at this event. The long-rumored HomePod Mini might cost either $149 or $199. Now that Apple has quietly reduced the price of HomePod from $349 to $299, it is an indication that Apple may announce a new generation of HomePods at this event with an upgraded A10 Fusion or A12 Bionic Chip.

7. AirPods Studio: Apple’s rumored Over-the-Ear Headphones are also expected at this event. These headphones will not have any Left or Right side as it is rumored to adjust according to the way you put it on.

8. Mac with Apple Silicon: Apple had announced in WWDC 2020 that it will be launching its first Mac with Apple Silicon this year. Apple Silicon may start off from the MacBook Pro, along with a redesigned body and bezel-less display. Rumored to come in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes, the new MacBook Pro may launch with the A14X chip, the same chip which will be used on the upcoming iPad Pro. As this will have Apple’s own A14X chip, it may feature 5G connectivity through eSIM and Face ID. Along with these exciting new products, Apple is also expected to start pre-orders for the new iPad Air and release the final version of macOS 11 Big Sur to the Public.
