Those that have and are still using the previous generation Apple TV third generation are about to lose some app support next month.
It was announced today by Google that the YouTube app on the Apple TV third generation will be losing support in March 2021. Once all support is pulled from the app, that means it will no longer work on the Apple TV and YouTube will no longer be performing updates on the app.
The only way to use YouTube on that Apple TV will be from AirPlay and mirroring on it, or buying either an Apple TV HD or Apple TV 4K that run tvOS and have a YouTube app with current support.
