Reputable leaker l0vetodream tweeted that an all-new redesigned iMac is on its way for next week’s Apple ‘Spring Loaded‘ event. This time, as the Jon Prosser reported before, the upcoming iMac is bringing back multiple colors after about two decades.
Apple actually has a long history of offering its computers in multiple colors. Apple started this trend with the original iMac G3. Since the iMac G4, Apple offered its iMac line in only white (for plastic designs) and then silver/black (for aluminum/glass designs). Apple did offer the original MacBook in white and black. After many years of offering Mac in only silver, Apple has offered its MacBook lineup in multiple metallic finishes such as space gray.

Bringing back colors to the iMac would definitely give that nostalgic feel. After all, back in the 1990s, PCs were offered in boring beige color. With those vibrant colors for the iMac, these computers made Apple a recognizable brand.
Additionally, Bloomberg reported that the redesigned iMac will take cues from the current iPad and Pro Display XDR.
With that said, are you excited for the iMac’s first redesign in years? Are you planning to buy one once it comes out? Let us know in the comments below, or tweet us @Appleosophy.
