It’s been a busy year for Casey’s, which is primarily known as a midwest convenience store and gas station chain.
The company added Apple Pay support to its iOS app earlier this year, acquired 94 Bucky’s convenience stores at a deal worth $580 million and has now finally added Apple Pay support at its pumps.
We first reported this a couple of years ago, with the company adding the NFC sensors at a remodeled Sioux City, Iowa, location and that the company hinted at the support on Twitter for Apple Pay being at the pump during that time as well.
As of October 2021, the process for turning on the NFC readers, allowing them to function as well as letting users use Apple Pay at the gas pump now seems to be an option, according to a tweet from @Yartctls34 on Twitter.

This also means that Apple Card users will be able to get 2% in Daily Cash on each purchase they make at the pump.
The usual way how you can tell if the sensor is working is if the green light on the NFC light is on. In the case of the tweets and photos above, the green light was now on there and working.
If you live near a Casey’s gas station, it might not be on yet, as these changes are typically a gradual process but will be coming soon.
