It was announced yesterday that Netflix is increasing its price to $19.99 a month.
The $19.99 Premium plan price is a $2 increase from its previous $17.99 a month price.
Netflix’s other plans have increased in price too, which include its Basic and Standard plans. The Basic plan is going to be $9.99 a month (previously $8.99 a month) and the Standard plan is being raised to $15.49 a month (previously $13.99 a month).
If you look at the chart below, it will show what features are available through each plan. The Premium plan does have 4K HDR streaming capabilities, which is viewable for those using the Apple TV 4K.
Customers will be notified about the price increases before the increases take effect on their accounts.
The streaming game has gotten quite competitive. Ad-free plans on multiple streaming services start at just $4.99 a month for Apple TV+. Other ad-free streaming service prices include $7.99 a month for Disney+, $8.99 a month for Prime Video, $9.99 a month for Paramount+ and Peacock, $12.99 a month for Hulu and regularly $14.99 a month for HBO Max.
Netflix is available to stream on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Apple TV and Mac.
