Apple has released a new firmware update to its Beats Fit Pro wireless earbuds. The new firmware version is 4E64, and if you own these earbuds and want to update them, here is how.

The last time Apple rolled out a firmware update to the Beats Fit Pro was in December 2021, this is the second firmware update to come out since the launch of the earbuds first in the U.S back in November and China in December 2021. The new version 4E64 was first spotted by 9to5Mac.

Beats Fit Pro is Beats’ latest high-end earbuds that focus on fitness features and blend with other technologies borrowed by Apple. These features vary from wingtips for better ear positioning to Spatial Audio, Noise Cancellation, and H1 support inspired by AirPods Pro and AirPods Max. Fit Pro is priced at $200.

To update the firmware version well, you actually cannot do that manually. Apple automatically installs the firmware version of its wireless products when they are connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth. However, here is how to check if you have it already:

  • Open Settings on your iPhone
  • Go to your Bluetooth settings where you find your Beats Fit Pro
  • Find your earbuds in your listed connected devices under “MY DEVICES”
  • Tap the “i” icon next to your earbuds
  • Check the version number under “Firmware Version”

If the version does not say 4E64, this means that your Beats earbuds are not fully updated yet and you have to wait for Apple to automatically roll it out to your own device.
