Earlier this week, the release candidate for macOS 26.7 has apparently revealed a wide plethora of unreleased Apple products, and one of the most anticipated products to see from Apple is the upcoming smart home hub, presumably called the “HomePad.”

Filipe Espósito from Engadget discovered more details on what this HomePad’s software could bring. It’s expected to run some variant of tvOS; however, according to him, the interface could function like a larger-scale Apple Watch, as the home screen is now expected to have “Faces” and a “Face Gallery”, similar to what we’ve had on the Apple Watch from the very beginning. Just like with any Apple Watch, users may even customize those faces to have various complications and even set up Smart Stacks.

Remember that setting on Apple Watch whether to show complication data when your wrist is down for privacy concerns? HomePad will also work in a similar fashion. According to Espósito, the code also references an intelligence privacy feature that will allow the HomePad to display your personal complications’ data based on whether your iPhone is nearby.

The source code in macOS 26.7 also references additional unknown devices, and there have been rumors that Apple is working on a smart doorbell. It looks like Apple is set to make the smart home integration even better with its upcoming devices.
