While we all appreciate getting our favorite songs on-demand, sometimes nothing beats traditional FM radio.

The good news is Apple Music has you covered for this want and need to stream your local FM radio stations.

By opening the Music app, go to the Search bar and simply type in your favorite radio station and search for your station. Once you have done that, it should show in the results on the page.

The way how this is possible because it looks as though Apple has added iHeartRadio and TuneIn integration into Apple Music. It also comes at a time where the iPhone has been criticized for not having some form of embedded FM radio tuner since the iPhone 6.

What makes this important is having coverage of your local radio station can come in handy if there is a particular talk show you want to listen to live, special radio programming such as Christmas music during the holiday season, and when there is severe weather in the area and a TV is not available.

It also looks as though users can listen to AM radio stations through the app too.

This feature is a free feature in the Music app and does not require a subscription in order to access it on Apple Music. However, at this time, it is not available in all countries and regions, and not all radio stations can be streamed through the app.

What are your thoughts on this feature in the Music app? Do you plan on using it? Comment below or let us know on Twitter at @appleosophy.
