Since the Dark Sky weather app is no more as of today, you might be looking for a new weather app to rely on for all of your weather wants and needs.
The good news is due to the vastness of the App Store, there are plenty of choices out there.
Here are some options:
- CARROT Weather: The app itself is free in the App Store but if you want some of the more advanced features of the app, that will require premium subscriptions that are available at monthly and yearly payments. It has apps on the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Mac.
- AccuWeather: It’s pretty similar to CARROT Weather, in terms of the fact that it has premium subscriptions and an easy-to-use interface. It additionally includes live and on-demand AccuWeather TV too. AccuWeather has apps on the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Apple TV.
- Weather Underground: We bring up this one because the interface looks closely similar to that of Dark Sky. It doesn’t have as many features as the previous two apps mentioned, but if you just want the comparable looks, Weather Underground is a good alternative. It currently only on the iPhone and iPad.
- Weather+: When it comes to a simple-to-use and clean interface, Weather+ is one of the best apps in the App Store for that. It does have premium features too and is available on the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.

Yahoo weather app is surprisingly good, intuitive, and clean.
Could I post one more tip for Weathergraph, an indie-made alternative to Dark Sky?
Many people say that apart from being their favorite weather app, it has the best Apple Watch complications and hourly chart ever.
The app is at https://weathergraph.app – thanks, Tomas
Hey Thomas! Thanks for linking your app – it looks to be a trendy replacement for Dark Sky and I would agree that the complications and charting features for Apple Watch are miles better than other weather apps on watchOS. If you’d like us to do a review, please don’t hesitate to contact us and I’m sure we could work something out.
Thanks once again,
Chris
