The original iPhone was introduced in January 2007 and was later released in June 2007. Even after over 16 years, we’ve seen very few original iPhones that are factory-sealed now and then. Just recently, one was sold for $54,904 at auction. However, that didn’t beat the sales record for a first-generation iPhone. That record dated back to February, and the bidding price for that sealed iPhone was over $63,000. We’ve even written an article about whether getting a factory-sealed original iPhone was either a ludicrous purchase or a savvy investment.

Unsurprisingly, factory-sealed devices become rarer as the years go by, so they become more valuable for collectors and enthusiasts with soaring bidding prices at the end of any auction. With that said, it wouldn’t be a surprise if we’ll see another factory-sealed iPhone within the next few months.
