Previous reports indicated that the iPhone 15 Pro could feature 8 GB of RAM for the first time. Now according to software code researcher @aaronp613, the Xcode 15 Release Candidate contains files that provide official details of the memory amount in both the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models.
Because the standard iPhone 15 models have the same A16 Bionic chip that was found in last year’s iPhone 14 Pro, those models feature 6 GB of RAM for the first time in the standard model. This is 1.5x the increase from last year’s iPhone 14 at 4 GB RAM.
Since the iPhone 15 Pro now features the incredible A17 Pro, it has now been confirmed that both the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max feature 8 GB of RAM for the first time. Until now, the Pro models had 6 GB of memory starting with the iPhone 12 Pro, so an increase in memory is always a welcome improvement, especially with how it can handle the most intensive games with hardware-accelerated ray-tracing.
