The latest beta of iOS 17.4 adds another battery-related feature that will be exclusive to all iPhone 15 and 15 Pro models. If you go to the Settings app and navigate to the Battery section, next to the Battery Health item, you’ll find a readout such as “Normal” that summarizes the overall health of the battery at first glance.
Tapping that item will segue you to the Battery Health section that provides even more details of your iPhone 15’s battery health. This includes Battery Health, Maximum Capacity, Cycle Count, Manufacture Date, and First Use.
This information was originally located in the General > About section of the Settings app, so it will be really straightforward for users to find this information in the Battery Health app whenever they need to check on their iPhone 15’s battery conditions. The Battery Health retains the same Charging Optimization settings, including Optimized Battery Charging and Limit to 80% – a feature that’s also exclusive to all iPhone 15 and 15 Pro models.
Apple recently announced that all iPhone 15 and 15 Pro models would retain 80% of their original capacity after 1,000 recharge cycles. So with all of these options and information, iPhone 15 users will have a piece of mind when maintaining the overall battery health.
