With today being the day of the keynote for WWDC 2024, the last-minute rumors are coming in and this newest one is all about the next version of watchOS 11.

Rumors have been posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that watchOS 11 will not be supported on the Apple Watch Series 4, Apple Watch Series 5, and the first generation Apple Watch SE.

This should not be too much of a surprise since the Series 4 was released in 2018, Series 5 was released in 2019, and the first Apple Watch SE was released in 2020, making these models much older and showing their age throughout the products’ life cycle.

In the meantime, it has also been stated that the following Apple Watch models will be supported for watchOS 11:

  • Apple Watch Series 6
  • Apple Watch Series 7
  • Apple Watch Series 8
  • Apple Watch Series 9
  • Apple Watch Ultra
  • Apple Watch Ultra 2
