- Apple launched the iPad mini (A17) on October 23, and we learned several new tidbits about this small tablet, including that it’s able to run Final Cut Pro for iPad. However, despite having 8GB of memory, it does not support Stage Manager as on the iPad Air or Pro. Still, the new iPad mini has the same, latest Battery Health features that you’d also find on those other iPad models and even on all the iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 models.
- For firmware updates, Apple issued a day-one update (iPadOS 18.0.1) for the latest iPad mini. Apple also rolled out a new firmware update for select AirPods, and we can expect the upcoming Hearing Health features to come to the AirPods Pro tomorrow along with the release of iOS 18.1.
- Speaking of future updates for iOS, Apple News+ will add a new daily puzzle, Sudoku, in the upcoming release of iOS 18.2.
- Just recently, the list of states for adding driver’s licenses to the Wallet app has expanded with Iowa.
