Satechi, a well-known accessory maker for Apple products, has previewed its stand & hub that’s designed specifically for the smaller, yet mightier Mac mini (with M4 or M4 Pro), just two weeks after that machine was launched.

Just as you’d expect with the existing stand & hub for the older design of the Mac mini, this complimentary hub is built around an aluminum frame, and it’s designed to flush nicely with the new Mac mini’s design. Satechi focuses on both form and function as this new accessory adds an SD card slot (similar to the one on the front of the Mac Studio) and brings back three USB-A ports to still connect to thousands of legacy accessories. Not only that but also this hub features an NVMe slot for you to install storage of up to 4TB for expanded external storage (and avoid Apple’s exorbitant storage prices).

Most important of all, since the air vents have moved to the bottom of the new Mac mini, this new hub is also meticulously designed to still allow airflow for the most optimal performance, and the company claims that it won’t interface with Wi-Fi connectivity. The company also says that it will launch another model without the expandable storage slot at a lower price.

The company says that it will launch this accessory sometime in spring 2025 with a retail price to be determined, but if you sign up now via your email address, you will get 20% off the retail price once it comes out. This accessory will be the perfect complement to your Mac mini (M4) and make the machine more versatile than ever.
