Apple has started rolling out visionOS 2.2 to the public with a few new features for the Apple Vision Pro. This update comes more than three weeks after the release of visionOS 2.1.1 which also debuted with important bug fixes. Apple keeps refining the software experience with every 2.x.x update whilst also fixing security issues.

Here’s what’s new according to the release notes,

Mac Virtual Display:
• Use Mac apps and games with a new aspect ratio: wide (21:9) and ultrawide (32:9) – the equivalent of two 5K monitors side by side
• Route audio from your Mac to Apple Vision Pro

Apple TV:
• Watch up to five MLS and MLB games at once with Multiview
• Watch live sporting events together with SharePlay

Safari:
• Tap to view spatial photos and videos embedded on web pages

visionOS 2.2 also includes fixes to 12 security flaws, according to Apple.

Unfortunately, this update does not bring Apple Intelligence to the Apple Vision Pro, unlike the iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and Apple hasn’t announced a timeline on when or if it will be available for this form factor.

It is highly recommended to update your Apple Vision Pro to the latest software for the best experience. Did you find any new changes in this update?
