If you’ve been following Apple for the past year, you know that they have been heavily focusing on Apple Intelligence.

Apple Intelligence initially launched with iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS 15.3 with Writing Tools, Notification Summaries, a new Siri look, and more.

As the days progressed, more Apple Intelligence features such as Genmoji, Image Playground, ChatGPT Integration, Visual Intelligence were added to iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2, and macOS 15.2.

Up until now, Apple Intelligence was an opt-in feature which would require a user to go into the Settings App of their device to manually enable it. However, this is about to change with iOS 18.3, iPadOS 18.3, and macOS 15.3. Users with supported devices will be automatically enrolled for Apple Intelligence.

According to the release notes of the RC versions, “For users new or upgrading to iOS 18.3, Apple Intelligence will be enabled automatically during iPhone onboarding. Users will have access to Apple Intelligence features after setting up their devices. To disable Apple Intelligence, users will need to navigate to the Apple Intelligence & Siri Settings pane and turn off the Apple Intelligence toggle. This will disable Apple Intelligence features on their device.”

As mentioned, users will be able to disable Apple Intelligence in Settings.

Apple Intelligence is available on the following devices:

– iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max

– the entire iPhone 16 lineup

– iPad Pro with M1 and later

– iPad Air with M1 and later

– iPad mini with A17 Pro

– MacBook Pro with M1 and later

– MacBook Air with M1 and later

– iMac with M1 and later

– Mac mini with M1 and later

– Mac Studio with M1 Max and later

– Mac Pro with M2 Ultra

To be eligible to use Apple Intelligence, you’ll need to:

– have a supported device

– be in a region where it is available

– set it in a language which is currently supported.

The final versions of iOS 18.3, iPadOS 18.3, and macOS 15.3 can be expected by next week. Have you tried out Apple Intelligence yet? Let us know down in the comments or tweet to us on @appleosophy!
