We reported a little more than two years ago that the Texas-based secondhand bookstore chain Half Price Books had started accepting Apple Pay in its stores.
However, now in early 2025, we can now report that Half Price Books has started accepting Apple Pay on its website.
This can be found when checking out on its website. Once you have added books or other items to your shopping cart, you can checkout.
When on said shopping cart page, you will have to tap the “Checkout” button, enter in your name and address, which will then take you to the payment method page, which lists Apple Pay as a payment option.
This not only makes Half Price Books another player in the online marketplace of bookstores that accept Apple Pay on their website, but it has additionally begun accepting it there before major bookstore retailers such as Barnes & Noble and Books-A-Million (but both retailers do accept Apple Pay in their stores).
At this time, Half Price Books does not have an app in the App Store, so the only way to order from the company directly is through its website.
