Apple has started rolling out iOS 18.3.1 and iPadOS 18.3.1 to the public with bug fixes and security improvements.
These updates come two weeks after the release of iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3 which came with few new features such as the ability to add an event to Calendar and identifying plants and animals with Visual Intelligence. Apple keeps refining the software experience with every 18.x.x update whilst also fixing security issues.
According to the Release Notes:
“This update provides important bug fixes and security updates and is recommended for all users.

iOS 18.3.1 and iPadOS 18.3.1 includes a fix to one security flaws, according to Apple.
“Accessibility:
Impact: A physical attack may disable USB Restricted Mode on a locked device. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been exploited in an extremely sophisticated attack against specific targeted individuals.
Description: An authorization issue was addressed with improved state management.

These updates are available on all devices that support iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 including:
- iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max
- iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max
- iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max
- iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max
- iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max
- iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max
- iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, and iPhone XR
- iPhone SE (3rd generation)
- iPhone SE (2nd generation)
- iPad Pro (2nd generation and later)
- iPad Air (3rd generation and later)
- iPad (6th generation and later)
- iPad mini (5th generation and later)
However, Apple Intelligence is only be supported on the following devices:
- iPhone 16
- iPhone 16 Plus
- iPhone 16 Pro
- iPhone 16 Pro Max
- iPhone 15 Pro
- iPhone 15 Pro Max
- iPad Pro (M1 and later)
- iPad Air (M1 and later)
- iPad mini (A17 Pro)
